Financing & Tax Credits
SR&ED, CDAE, CTAC, bank files. Cash you're leaving on the table.
SR&ED can refund up to 64% of eligible salaries for a Quebec SME. CDAE refunds 30% of an IT employee's salary. Most entrepreneurs don't claim. either because they don't know they qualify, or because their previous CPA told them it was "too complicated." A well-built file often pays for an entire year of CPA fees.

Frequently asked
How do I know if my business qualifies for SR&ED?
Three criteria: there's a real technological uncertainty, your team made a systematic attempt to resolve it, and you can document it. Many qualifying businesses don't see themselves as "R&D" because they're "just doing their job." That's exactly the typical profile of a valid SR&ED file.
What percentage of my costs can I recover?
For a Canadian-controlled Quebec SME, you can recover about 64% of eligible salaries (38% federal refundable + ~30% Quebec, with bonuses). On subcontracts the rate drops to ~38%. On supplies, around 41%.
I've never claimed. Can I go back?
Yes, up to 18 months after the end of the fiscal year in question. If your year ends December 31, you have until June 30 of the second following year to file. That's short. which is why we run the assessment the moment we connect.
