Yes. The practice is based in Montreal, but 100% of files can be handled remotely through the secure client portal. Most interactions happen by call or video.

Every engagement is quoted. The first conversation is free: we look at your situation, scope the work, and you get a fixed written price before anything starts. No surprise hourly billing.

I'm not incorporated yet. Should I be?

Not automatically. Incorporation pays off when net income exceeds your living needs and there's capital to defer inside the corp. Below that threshold, it's often just more paperwork. We run the math together.

What's the difference between a compilation and a review engagement?

Accepted Answer

A compilation presents your figures as you provided them, with no assurance. A review engagement adds a CPA validation layer and is often required by banks above certain loan thresholds. Cost and timing differ. we choose based on the intended use.

Yes. it's one of our specialties. Audits, notices of objection, voluntary disclosures. We speak their language and prepare files that hold up at the table.

When during the year should I call?

Earlier than you think. Real tax decisions happen during the year. not in March. The sweet spot is an annual planning meeting between September and November, plus a check-in during the year if your situation changes.
